Oblako Company (Wi-Fly) presented an IT solution for digitalizing the transport environment at MITT Travel Start 2026. The development aims to enhance the user experience during travel.
During the final presentations of the innovative projects competition, a company representative spoke about creating a unified digital ecosystem for passengers. The platform integrates multimedia content, services, and communication tools accessible during a trip — on planes, buses, and other modes of transport.
A key feature of the solution is its autonomy: the system deploys its own onboard Wi-Fi network, to which passengers connect, gaining access to services via a local website. Constant internet connection is not required — all content and functionality are hosted on onboard servers.
Connection to the external internet is used only for service tasks — content updates, analytics collection, and data synchronization. This allows the system to operate stably even in conditions of no connectivity.
Special attention is paid to monetization opportunities and new channels for user interaction. According to the speaker, transport is becoming a digital platform where passengers can not only consume content but also plan trips, book services, and interact with travel services directly en route.
Additional features include built-in chats, gaming services, onboard retail, and advertising tools, all accessible via the local network without the need to install applications or connect to the internet.
Oblako's presentation took place within the framework of the MITT Travel Start 2026 competition, which annually brings together technological projects in the tourism and hospitality sector. Experts note that such solutions reflect the trend towards industry digitalization and the development of new user scenarios in the travel segment, especially concerning autonomous digital platforms in transport.
