Wi-Fly Media Server Launched on Alrosa Aircraft

Since December 27, 2025, the Wi-Fly media server has been operating on four Alrosa Airlines aircraft, providing passengers with access to movies and services via Wi-Fi.

Alrosa Airlines has begun using the onboard Wi-Fly media server, developed by Oblako company. The system has been operational on four of the carrier's aircraft since December 27, 2025.

The media server is built on the Etbox hardware and software complex — an autonomous in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. The device creates an onboard Wi-Fi network, allowing passengers to access media content and services from their own devices.

Online cinemas Okko and Wink are available through the system, along with additional features such as a store, flight map, and chat.

Initially, the equipment was installed in test mode. After evaluating the system's performance by passengers and flight attendants, the airline decided to implement it permanently.

ALROSA Airlines JSC operates regular and charter flights across Russia and to CIS countries, as well as cargo transportation and special aviation operations. The carrier's base airports are Mirny and Vnukovo.

In the future, the Wi-Fly media server is planned to be installed on the entire airline fleet.
